CultivateLife.org, in conjunction with San Diego techno label Oceanliner Records and their new partners at Detroit-based Beretta Music and Dirty Radio, present Broadcast - this month's edition continues in bringing some of the planet's most legendary electronic musicians and producers to San Diego, affectionately being called "The New Berlin" for it's small pocket of a West Coast techno scene featuring European artists - Indy's Adam Jay has made a name for himself in Europe, South America and beyond - in the last 2 years Adam has taken the global techno scene by the throat with continuous output on the most respected labels worldwide. His releases on the renowned Primate and Primevil labels are dropped on a regular basis by such techno heavyweights as Carl Cox and Adam Beyer. Known amongst the global touring circuit as one of the essential live pa acts to hear, his touring schedule had him everywhere from Australia to Brazil to Germany, Belgium, and Austria in recent years.

Broadcast is now making it's permanent home on the airwaves live on Dirty Radio, and at 1409 C St, an intimate two-room space called theHoneyBee Hive that on the first Saturday of every month turns into a shrine for the genre of techno and a home for some of the best local and global artists. With residents including Ryski of Beretta Records (Detroit), live PAs from local stalwarts nominal and Austin Speed, and DJs Tyler Hanel, nightshade and ElizaBitch, along with the classic video games being played and projected out mid-room (this month's featured game is Robotron) Broadcast brings some much-needed musical legitimacy to a city that has the potential and the talent to be on the cutting edge of live electronics.
